Olive trees: Olive trees are considered as a cultural heritage of Northern Cyprus that is more than eight hundred years old. Olive trees may not be the first attraction in North Cyprus, but they are definitely a blessing for the people of this island. These ancient trees grow in the village of Kalkanli on the northwest coast outside of Guzelyurt, believed to have been planted in the 11th century. This area is a natural heritage site and is a very popular attraction for visitors.
